Introduction

Washington Dulles International Airport is a huge facility that sees more than 30 million passengers pass through its doors each year. The single terminal is divided into four concourses - A, B, C and D -and good facilities are located throughout.

Airport parking at Washington Dulles

There are hourly and daily car parks within easy walking distance of the airport's main terminal building. Long-term parking is available and a free shuttle service connects the long-term car parks to the terminals. Economy parking is also on-hand and is served by a similar shuttle bus service. Opposite the main terminal you will find curb side valet parking, while disabled parking is located in all car parks. Car park shuttle buses are equipped with wheelchair lifts for the disabled. Getting to and from the airport

Washington Flyer Express buses run regularly between the airport and West Falls Church Metro Station. Buses stop at the West Falls Metro Station and from here you can connect to the Metrorail lines. Greyhound provides regular bus services between the airport and several Virginia locations. Washington Flyer Taxicabs serve Washington Dulles International Airport exclusively, providing 24-hour links between the city and the airport. The airport is situated 16 miles from the city centre. If you are arriving by car, take I-66 west until Exit 67, from where you can follow signs for the airport.

Amenities at Vancouver International Airport

A wide variety of bars, restaurants, cafés and fast-food outlets are available at Washington Dulles International Airport. Choices include McDonald's, Vie de France, Starbuck's, Pizza-Hut and Cinnabon among many others. Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream is served in concourses B, C and D. Shopping is likewise plentiful and retail outlets selling everything from books and magazines to leather goods can be found all over the terminal.

Banks, ATMs and bureaux de change are located in all areas of the airport as well as stamp vending machines and post office boxes. Business services can be found on the upper level at the western end of the main terminal building (tel: +1 703 572 2969) and at the eastern end (tel: +1 703 572 2963), and include fax, insurance and notary services. Concourses B, C and D also house business centres. Facilities for the disabled are found throughout the airport and include ramps, lifts, TDD telephones and visual paging systems as well as wheelchair-accessible toilets.

Help and information can be obtained at the International Visitor's Center on the lower level of Baggage Reclaim as well as at the Traveller's Aid Counter. Traveller's Aid ambassadors can be found on concourses B, C and D.
