Indianapolis International Airport (IND) Information
Introduction
Indianapolis International Airport is a small, single-terminal facility offering some international but mostly domestic flights. The terminal has four concourses, A, B, C and D, which collectively serve the entire scope of the airports flight services.
Airport parking at Indianapolis
There are a host of varying parking options available at the airport, housed in a total of five facilities, with a joint parking capacity for 10,915 vehicles. Passengers can choose from short-term, long-term, economy and tiger parking, with the final facility offering passengers the opportunity to reserve a space online prior to their arrival at the airport.
Getting to and from the airport
Passengers travelling to or from the airport to the city by car will find both routes straightforward on account of the signposting. Meanwhile, the Indy Go airport bus service runs regularly from outside the terminal to downtown Indianapolis. Shared shuttle vans provide a more expensive alternative, while meter taxis are also available from outside the main terminal building.
Amenities at Indianapolis International Airport
Essential airport facilities include banks, ATMs and a Travelex kiosk offering bureau de change services. For dining and refreshments, the airports food court has a variety of outlets including TGI Fridays, Starbucks, Budweiser Brewhouse, McDonald's and Auntie Anne's. There are also plenty of shops to choose from, with popular names such as Godiva Chocolatier, Brookstones, Hudson Booksellers, Perfumania, Sunglass Hut International and Hat World. Customary duty-free shops selling luxury goods are also on-hand on concourses A and C.
Business passengers will find a boardroom in the airports ticketing area, which is available for hire by prior arrangement. Elsewhere, there are telephones equipped with fax machines and internet ports to which laptops computers can be attached. Passengers travelling with US Airways can take advantage of club room facilities located on Concourse D. Passengers with special needs will find the airport is completely disabled-friendly.
