Introduction
Located three miles northeast of Agana, Guam Wonpat Guam International Airport is the only airport on the tiny Pacific island of Guam, owned by the United States. The facility has a single terminal serving more than eight international air carriers and offering connections to a variety of international destinations including London and Japan. With nearly 300 flights per week to all major Pacific and Asian cities, the airport is an important and busy hub that sees some three million passengers per year.

For those wishing to drive to the airport, the terminal is less than 15 minutes drive by car and the route is well signposted from Agana. Car hire facilities are available at the airport for those wanting to pick-up a rental vehicle on arrival. There are buses operated by Guam Mass Transit that link nearly all the villages on the island. Alternative options for ground transportation to the city include taxis, which are available from outside the airport terminal building.
Getting to and from the airport
The airport has a good range of facilities including options for both short-term and long-term parking. Inside the terminal building youll find ATMs, a bureau de change and two public lounges. Theres a small selection of shops on-hand; Goodwill Development sells travel aids and sundry items, Best Seller carries newspapers and magazines, DFS Guam offers luxury and general retail items, while the Sony shops offers electrical goods.

The terminals food court has a variety of dining choices including Burger King, Dominos Pizza, Haagen Dazs, Shirleys Express and Weinerschnitzel. Theres also an American-style sports bar for those wanting alcoholic beverages. For the business travellers, theres a conference room situated on the Concourse Level, but access is restricted to members of the Continental Airlines Presidents Club only. Disabled passengers will find the airport well equipped to receive them, with facilities including wheelchair access to all areas and specially designed washrooms and telephones.
