Denver International Airport (DEN) Information

Introduction

Also known as Denver Jeppesen International Airport, Denver International Airport is one of America's most sizeable airports, offering flights to more than 120 destinations throughout the United States and worldwide. The airport is situated roughly 23 miles from Denver city centre and is divided into Concourse A, B and C, with the main terminal building named after the aviator Elrey B. Jeppesen.

Airport parking at Denver

the airport offers both long and short-term parking, with a total of 17,000 spaces as well as 2,400 additional lots for overflow. Express parking is located next to the pick-up area on Level 4 of the terminal building, while longer-term parking lots are located at the eastern and western ends of the terminal building in two five-storey buildings, of which four levels are covered. There is economy parking next to Level 1 of the long-term parking garage, with a round-the-clock shuttle service providing transportation to the terminal building. Disabled passengers can find parking in the economy area, as well as in the long-term parking area.

Getting to and from Denver

the airport can easily be accessed by car from Denver city centre by taking I-25 north and turning onto I-70 east, from where the airport is well sign-posted. Buses, taxis, limousines and shuttle buses offer additional transportation options between the airport and Denver, with taxis available from outside doors 506, 507 and 510, and commercial transportation available outside the baggage reclaim area.

Amenities at Denver International Airport

selections of shops are distributed throughout the terminal building including newsagents, book shops, souvenir stores and a travel agency. Refreshments are served at various restaurants, cafés and snack bars in the concourses and main terminal building. The airport is also known for its impressive art display, which is the second largest in Colorado.

ATMs can be found on every concourse and the airport also encompasses bureaux de change, telephones, banks and change machines. Information can be obtained from the main Jeppesen Terminal and at booths in the three concourses.
