Chicago Midway Airport (MDW) Information

Introduction

Serving domestic flights only, Chicago Midway Airport is a fast-growing alternative to the massive Chicago O'Hare International Airport. Located 10 miles from downtown Chicago, this well-organised facility has three main concourses, A, B and C, which each has a range of services.

Airport parking at Chicago

There are hourly and daily parking lots available at Chicago Midway Airport. Both lots are situated between 55th and 59th streets and access to the terminal is via a pedestrian bridge. Long-term economy parking is also available a short distance away, with shuttle buses running between the terminal and the economy lots around the clock.

Getting to and from the airport

Chicago Midway Airport is connected to downtown Chicago by the CTA Orange Line. The Midway Orange Line station is located near the terminal building on Cicero avenue. The station has a large and easy to follow map of all lines and stations.

In addition, there are several bus and shuttle companies that ferry passengers to and from the airport to various locations around the city. There is usually a bus or shuttle departure every 15 minutes. Departure and destination information is easily obtained at one of the many information desks that are located in front of the terminal buildings. Taxi services are readily available 24 hours a day from the taxi stand in front of door M5. Midway Airport share taxi vans are also available. To get to Chicago Midway Airport by car, simply take I-55 and follow the signage.
