Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) Information
Introduction
Boston Logan International Airport receives flights from all over the world including Europe, Latin America and the Pacific. As the sixth biggest airport in the US, it has five terminals serving a variety of airlines, but is often overcrowded and delays are common.
Airport parking at Boston
The short-term, valet and disabled parking areas at Boston Logan International Airport are all located near the main terminal buildings. Long-term parking facilities are only a short distance away and are served by a complimentary shuttle bus service, which operates around the clock. A security check of all vehicles means that you should allow extra time when arriving.
Getting to and from the airport
The MTBA, or 'T' as it is known by locals, Blue Line connects the airport to South Station in downtown Boston. A free shuttle bus service connects all terminals to Airport Station. The number 66 bus service links all five terminals of Boston Logan International Airport to the Logan Water Shuttle Dock, which offers water taxis to a variety of destinations in Boston. The bus service is free and departs every 10 minutes. The MTBA also runs bus routes 448, 459 and CT3 that connect Boston Logan International Airport with the city centre. Taxis and share-hire vans are readily available outside all of the airport's Arrivals areas and the journey from the airport to the city centre typically takes about 20 minutes.
By car from the airport, take the Callahan Tunnel to reach the city centre, Cape Cod and other destinations within the state of Massachusetts. Road signs along I-95 are clear and easy to follow, but traffic is often congested and can add up to 30 minutes to a trip.
