Leeds Bradford Airport is a notable transport hub, connecting destinations across the UK and Europe and serving almost two million passengers annually. Airport Parking at Leeds-Bradford
Both short- and long-term parking spaces are available at the airport and are well signposted. There are 703 short-term parking spaces and 1,300 long-term parking spaces, as well as off-site parking in nearby Yeadon. Courtesy shuttles provide transportation between parking lots and the airport terminal.
Disabled passengers are well-looked after, with specially reserved spaces in the short-term parking lot. On production of an orange badge, special needs passengers are permitted to park in this area for extended periods at long-term rates. Payment stations are located in the Arrivals and Departures areas, and passengers should pay for their parking before returning to their vehicles.
Getting to and from Leeds-Bradford
The airport is located approximately 13kms northwest of Leeds and 11kms north of Bradford. Those driving from Leeds can reach the airport by following signs for Yeadon and Otley on the A660. Drive through Bramhope and take the A658 to Yeadon. From the direction of Bradford, drivers will need to take the A658 out of the city and follow signs for Yeadon and Guiseley. The airport is well-marked from the A1, M1 and M62 motorways.
The train station in nearby Leeds provides connections to towns and cities across England. Alternatively, LBA Airlink coaches run between the airport and Leeds city centre. Coaches to additional destinations leave from stand 4 at Leeds bus station and stand S11 outside the train station. Taxis are available from the rank outside the main Arrivals hall entrance.
Amenities at Leeds-Bradford International Airport
The airport has an impressive range of passenger facilities, including bureaux de change in both the Arrivals and Departures areas, a travel agency, a mother-and-baby room next to the information desk, and a children's play area in the International Departures lounge.
An executive lounge encompassing a bar, fax machine, power points for laptops and telephones is situated on the first floor of the Domestic Departures lounge. British Midland also provides a Diamond Club Lounge in the Domestic Departures areas with bar, fax, telephone and photocopying facilities.
Both duty-free and regular shopping is available, with books, gifts, lingerie and more on offer. Non-alcoholic drinks and both hot and cold refreshments are on offer at the Take-Off Café in Domestic Arrivals, and a wider selection of meals is available at the White Rose Food Village in the Departures lounge. Also located in the Departures lounge is the Yorkshire Hero bar, while Ridings Bar is situated near the executive lounge on the first floor.
Special needs passengers are well catered for, with the entire airport meeting EU standards for the provision of facilities for disabled passengers. A tourist information centre can be found in the Arrivals concourse and provides assistance with passenger queries.
