Airport Parking at Glasgow
Short- and long-term parking is available, with car parks 1 and 2 for short stays and car park 3 available for longer stays that should be pre-booked 24 hours in advance. A shuttle bus is on hand for those in car park 3 if needed; however, it is within walking distance of the terminal.
Getting to and from Glasgow
To get to Glasgow Prestwick Airport by car from Glasgow city, take the M77 motorway (south) that becomes the A-77, and then follow the signs. The airport is a 30-minute drive from Glasgow via this route and lies to the north of Ayr.
Getting to Glasgow by train is easy, with a station just outside the terminal. A train leaves for the city every 30 minutes (45-minute journey). By bus, the Stagecoach Western Express (X77) leaves for the city centre every 30 minutes (peak), and every hour (off-peak). This service runs everyday and takes about 50 minutes.
Amenities at Glasgow Airport
Essential facilities at Glasgow Prestwick Airport include a bureau de change facility and ATMs, and services for the disabled include adapted toilets and telephones. The information desk is located in the main atrium and, in addition, there is a baby change room, children's play area and a games arcade.
For sustenance and shopping, the Gallery Café and Graceland Bar have hot food and snacks, and are located in the main atrium along with a newsagent's and gift shop. The Cloud 9 Café Bar provides food and beverages in the Departures lounge, and there is a state-of-the-art duty-free shop, a newsagent and an electronics store here too.
