Gothenburg-Landvetter Airport (GOT) Information

Introduction

This international airport, serving 4 million passengers per year, has daily flights to more than 30 destinations in Europe. The airport is situated 25kms east of Gothenburg (Goteborg), near the southwest coast of Sweden. One passenger terminal with separate international and domestic halls is open 24 hours a day. Airport parking at Gothenburg

Car parks at the airport have a total of 7,315 parking spaces, all monitored by cameras and guards. Indoor parking in car park P3 (nearest the terminal) costs €3.25 per hour, or €21.50 per day. Outdoor car parks P4 (international) and P2 (domestic) charge fees of €2.15 per hour and €15 per day, while the auxiliary domestic car park P1 charges day rates of €10.75. For long-term parking farther from the terminal, car parks P5, P6 and P7 charge rates of €1.08 per hour and €8.57 per day. (After the first 4 days the price drops to €2.15 per day.)

Getting to and from Gothenburg

The airport is located just off the #40 trunk road between Gothenburg (25kms west) and Boras (40kms east). Airport buses serve Gothenburg and Boras, departing every 15 minutes during peak hours. Public buses also run from the airport to various local destinations including Harryda and Landvetter. Several taxi and limousine companies are airport-approved, and offer fixed rates to Gothenburg and other area destinations.

Amenities at Gothenburg-Landvetter Airport

There is a bank in the international departures hall, plus ATMs in international arrivals and domestic departures. In addition to duty-free shopping, there are shops featuring Scandinavian specialties, chocolates, perfumes, newspapers and books, fashions and gifts. Three cafes, two pubs and two restaurants offer travellers a range of dining options. Other amenities include a children's play area, and a priest who is available for weddings and other services.
