Jamaica Airports
Situated in the southwest Caribbean, Jamaica is one of the larger islands that make up the beautiful Caribbean, making it one of the world's most popular holiday destinations. The island contains two international airports, which operate regular flights from many American cities as well as direct flights from London. Don't forget to check out our Caribbean Travel Guide.
Jamaica's verdant and diverse landscape features sparkling sandy beaches, lush mountains and valleys and snaking rivers. Reggae music is alive and kicking here, and it fits in nicely with the tasty Jamaican fares and never ending festivals. Jamaica also makes for an excellent adventure country, where you can enjoy a number of activities including water sports, rafting and golf. The capital of Kingston is a bustling city, while Montego Bay is also worth a visit.
Montego Bay Sangster International Airport is a modern airport that processes in excess of two-million passengers per year, mainly from the US and Europe. There is just one terminal here that serves both international and island-hopping flights. Flights operated by major carriers come in from Canada, Europe, Mexico and America, while smaller charter airlines fly between the islands.
Several smaller airports are dotted around Jamaica at major towns, allowing for fast, intra-island connections - ideal if you fly to Kingston and want to get to Montego Bay quickly. If you are stuck for a transport link, there are also buses which go to virtually every town on the island.
