Ancona Falconara Airport (AOI) information

Introduction

Located 17 kms west of Ancona, in the Marches region of Italy's Adriatic coast, the airport accommodates nearly 500,000 travellers per year. The single passenger terminal handles domestic flights as well as connections with many of the major cities of Europe, including London, Paris, Munich and Barcelona. Airport parking at Ancona

Two nearby car parks offer a total of 610 spaces for vehicles. There are 290 spaces in the short-term area, and 320 spaces in long-term. A pick-up and drop-off zone is located outside the terminal entrance; assistance is available for those with limited mobility.

Getting to and from Ancona

The airport is just off the A14 motorway, which parallels the coast. For the 15-minute drive into Ancona, take the SS76 roadway. There is regular shuttle bus service to and from the city centre; contact the airport's information booth for current timetables. Taxis are available as well for trips into Ancona and beyond.

Amenities at Ancona Falconara Airport

The Banca delle Marche offers banking services and currency exchange Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 12:30, and 15:00 to 17:00. An ATM is available as well. Shopping possibilities include wines and spirits, telephones, gifts and souvenirs, a newsagent/tobacconist and a duty-free shop. Several well-known local shops are also present. A self-service restaurant is open for lunch only; a bar is open from 5:30 until the day's last flight. The airport's first-aid station is in service 24 hours a day.
