Single Trip travel Insurance
Whether you are spending a week in the sun in Lanzarote, three weeks visiting family in Australia or just a weekend break in the
Cotswolds a single trip travel insurance policy will cover you for your holiday. We offer travel insurance for individuals, couples, families and single parent families so everyone will benefit from the high levels of cover. Or if you prefer to go away with a group of friends we can arrange for everyone to be covered under the same policy. When booking a single trip policy you will need to enter the start and end date of your trip as this will enable the price to be calculated on the number of days that you will be out of the country. With single trip policies the cancellation cover starts the day you purchase the policy, so as soon as you buy it you are fully covered in case you are unwell and cannot travel. So it makes sense to book the travel insurance as early as possible, or at least after you have paid the final deposit on the holiday. You will also need to enter the age of yourself and any others travelling with you. It is the age you are when you take out the policy, not the age you will be when you travel, which we take in order to give you an accurate quotation. Single trip policies are only available to UK residents and will only cover a holiday that starts and ends in the UK.
Our policies offer a high level of cover, medical expenses being covered up to £5 million. If you have to cancel your trip due to a medical reason you are covered up to £3000 for any money you have paid out for your holiday. Your personal baggage will be covered up to £1500 in case you have anything lost or stolen. Your passport will also be covered if you have it lost or stolen whilst you are out of the UK and you need to be reimbursed for any expenses involved in obtaining a new passport. Baggage cover is also extended to cover you for the loss or theft of personal money. You can check on your all risks home insurance to see if you are covered under policy that whilst your belongings are out of the country, if so you can elect to take out our policy but delete cover for your baggage. So once you have requested your quotation you can add or remove the baggage cover to tailor the policy to suit your circumstances.
When getting an accurate insurance quote for your trip you will need to stipulate the destination of your holiday. Our policies are divided into categories to enable you to choose the cover you need. So if you are travelling to the USA or South Africa you would need Worldwide cover, but if you are just going to France or Spain the Europe cover would be adequate. If you are travelling to Australia or New Zealand and your stopover is not going to be longer than 24 hours you do not need to take Worldwide cover but you can book your policy on the Australia and New Zealand destination. You are also given the option to upgrade to superior cover. For a small rise in the premium you can increase some of the cover levels and reduce the excess payments. So once you have requested your quote you can upgrade to superior cover if you require.
If you holiday on the slopes you would need to increase your quotation to cover Winter Sports. This would cover you to ski or snow board while you are away and would also cover you for skiing off-piste within a recognised resort. You own ski equipment would be insured for the duration of your trip and you would also be covered in the event of piste closure or avalanche. Again, once you have requested your quote you can either add or delete the Wintersports cover.
If you are planning to play golf whilst you are away you can opt to take the additional cover for your golf equipment It would cover any accidental damage to your golf equipment and the cost
