Stuttgart Airport (STR) Information

Situated 13kms south of Stuttgart, this airport serves 8.8 million passengers annually. About 70 airlines offer regularly scheduled and charter flights. There are four terminals, all within walking distance of each other. Terminal 2 handles departures only, while Terminals 1, 3 and 4 (for charter flights) manage both arrivals and departures.

Airport parking at Stuttgart Airport

Short-term parking is offered in car parks P3, P5 and P6, with an hourly rate of €3 and a daily rate of €20-€27. Car parks P1 and P4, slightly farther from the terminals, charge rates of €2 per hour up to a daily rate of €19. For longer term parking, car parks P0 (uncovered), P2, P8, P10 and P11 have a daily rate of €10-€15, and weekly rates of about €50. All car parks are open 24 hours.

Getting to and from Stuttgart Airport

Stuttgart Airport is situated just off the A8 (Karlsruhe-Munich) autobahn. To reach Stuttgart city centre by car, take the Bundesstrasse B27. S-Bahn trains leave every 10 to 20 minutes from the airport station in Terminal 1 to Stuttgart's central station. The journey time is 27 minutes. Bus service also connects the airport with Stuttgart and other area cities. Taxis operate 24 hours a day as well.

Amenities at Stuttgart Airport

There are ATMs, a bank and a currency exchange booth in Terminal 1. Duty-free shops can be found in Terminals 1, 3 and 4. Other shops at the airport offer such items as flowers, mobile telephones, toys, sweets, tobacco, books, newspapers and magazines. The airport has a good selection of restaurants, fast-food outlets and bars, most of which are found in Terminals 1 and 3. The Atrium Conference Centre in Terminal 1 provides fully equipped meeting rooms for up to 400 persons.
