Frankfurt Hahn Airport (HHN) Information
Introduction
This former U.S. military airport has become a centre for no-frills flights and handles about 3 million passengers per year. The largest carrier for scheduled flights is the budget Irish airline, Ryanair, which offers connections to London, Dublin, and Glasgow, as well as to other major cities in Scandinavia, Spain and Italy. Despite the airport's name, it is located a good distance away from Frankfurt, which is 110kms to the east. Frankfurt Hahn Airport is 60kms west of Mainz, and about the same distance from Trier, near the Luxembourg border, and Saarbrucken, near the border with France.
Airport parking at Frankfurt Hahn Airport
The airport has six car parks. Short-term parking is offered in car park P1, nearest the terminal; rates are €1.50 per hour. Long-term parking in P2-P8 costs €1.50 for 2 hours, with a day rate of €7. A free shuttle bus runs to the terminal and back every 15 minutes.

Amenities at Frankfurt Hahn Airport
An ATM and currency exchange facility is located in the terminal's area A. A selection of shops offer duty-free spirits, cosmetics and perfumes; regional products; designer sunglasses, fashions and accessories; jewellery; international press, magazines and literature; gourmet wines and coffee; and, intriguingly, erotic inspirations for him and her. A number of restaurants, cafes and bars are located on the premises, several of which specialize in pastries. The airport's conference centre is situated about 1,500m from the terminal. There are 12 meeting rooms, plus telecommunications equipment. Additionally, there are recreational facilities near the terminal which include a nine-hole golf course and a go-cart track.
