Berlin Tempelhof International Airport (THF) Information

Introduction

The smallest of the three airports serving Germany's capital city, Tempelhof handles about 450,000 passengers per year. The airport caters almost exclusively to domestic flights, but also offers connections to Brussels. The airport is located just 6kms from the city centre. Airport parking at Berlin Tempelhof

Short-term parking is provided in car park P1. Rates are €0.50 for 20 minutes, and the daily rate is €40. Car parks P2 and P3 are more suitable for long-term parking, with rates of €2 per hour, €12 per day and €70 per week.

Getting to and from Berlin Tempelhof International Airport

The airport is situated just off Route 96/96a, which leads directly into the city centre. Rail connections to the city are found at the airport's Platz der Luftbrucke station. The U6 line connects with both the U7 and U1 east-west branches of the city's urban rail system. Frequent bus service is available from outside the terminal building, offering links to all parts of the city and its environs. A taxi rank is located just outside the terminal as well.

Amenities at Berlin Tempelhof International Airport

The airport has ATMs, a Deutsche Bank, and a currency exchange counter located to the right of the main entrance. Other amenities include a 24-hour first-aid station, a VIP lounge and a hair salon. Shops in the main hall offer travel necessities, gifts, sweets, flowers, newspapers and magazines. A duty-free shop is located in the departures area. Food and beverage offerings are limited to a snack bar and a coffee shop, both open from 7:00 until 20:00.
