Pula Airport (PUY) Information
Introduction
This small airport is situated 6kms east of Pula, on the northwest coast of Croatia. The city is located near the tip of the Istria Peninsula which just out into the Adriatic Sea and hence is home to a number of popular seaside resorts. The airport handles about 150,000 passengers each year, many of them aboard summer charter flights from Europe and the Middle East. Regularly scheduled flights connect with Zagreb and Moscow, plus northern European cities such as Amsterdam, Stockholm and Oslo. The 12,000-square-metre terminal building, which was constructed in 1989, has 8 check-in desks and is open from 6:00 until 22:00.

A small car park across from the terminal will accommodate 100 cars and 21 buses for short and long-term parking (fee payable).
Getting to and from Pula
Those travelling by car will find the roads well signposted. The airport is just off Route 21 which leads directly into Pula city centre. Buses and taxis both operate service into Pula and other area destinations. Consult the airport information desk for bus timetables. Travellers are advised that although Pula taxi drivers are honest, it is best to check the price of the journey in advance to prevent misunderstandings.

The terminal has ATMs and a currency exchange bureau which is open according to flight times. A shop in the departure lounge sells newspapers and tobacco. The airport's duty-free shop offers a wide selection of spirits, cosmetics and fine fragrances, in addition to Croatian products such as ceramics and crystal, silk fashion accessories, beverages, gifts and souvenirs. A bar/café serves light meals and refreshments. Business facilities are provided at a spacious VIP lounge.
